General Aims
To provide a secure and supportive environment for students and staff.
To encourage a strong school/service/parent partnership which benefits the education and care of each student.
To provide an educational programme based on the NMC requirements, tailored to meet individual learning needs and including a structured life skills programme linked to an appropriate personal, social and health education curriculum.
To work together with parents and relevant agencies to maintain and encourage each student’s personal, social and independent development.
To provide statements of an individual student’s progress and objectives for the following year through annual reviews to which students, staff, families and external agencies are invited to contribute.
To extend the students’ experience beyond the confines of the school and to include them as far as possible into the local community.
To assist students and parents in planning further educational requirements and/or placement.
